For Catholics, September is the month of Our Lady of Sorrows, immediately following August's devotion to the Immaculate Heart, and preceding October's devotion to Our Lady of the Rosary. September is an ideal time to strengthen our connection to Our Blessed Mother.

The month of August is traditionally dedicated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Since the 16th Century, Catholic piety has assigned entire months to special devotions. The physical heart of Mary is venerated (and not adored as the Sacred Heart of Jesus is) because it is united to her person and is the seat of her love (especially for her divine Son), virtue and inner life. O Mary Immaculate, inflame our hearts with one ray of the burning love of thy pure heart.

Bishop Konderla has instructed that the distribution of the Precious Blood may resume at the weekend Masses for the feast of Corpus Christi, June 18/19, 2022. The COVID-19 policies will be updated accordingly.

Bishop Konderla will consecrate the Diocese of Tulsa & Eastern Oklahoma to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus on the Feast of Corpus Christi, June 19, 2022, at Holy Family Cathedral as part of the Eucharistic procession.

On Saturday, June 4, 2022 at 7 pm, the Most Reverend David A. Konderla will lead a community prayer service at Holy Family Cathedral for all those affected by the shooting this week at a Saint Francis Hospital building. All are welcome to attend.

The Month of June is dedicated to the Sacred Heart. The Church celebrates the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus on the Friday following the second Sunday after Pentecost. In addition to the liturgical celebration, many devotional exercises are connected with the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
