Bishop David Konderla is planning a Prayer Challenge Aug. 31-Sept. 6, 2026 as part of the Diocese of Tulsa's partnership with Hallow, the number one prayer app in the country. The challenge will be titled “Called by Name,” and will focus on vocations. (Remember recently the Vocations Office invited parishioners from across the diocese to suggest the names of faithful young men who may be called to the priesthood).
The seven-day prayer challenge invites listeners into the real stories of people who were pursued by God in their brokenness and called to a unique path to holiness. Each day highlights a specific vocation including the priesthood, religious life, marriage, the diaconate, and consecrated single life. The reflections show the beauty, sacrifices and blessings of each vocation while inviting participants to deepen their commitment to the vocation they are already living. Bishop Konderla will share his vocation story on the final day. Every person in our Diocese who downloads Hallow, whether they have a paid or free subscription, will see the Challenge on their home page. Bishop Konderla will open and close each day of the challenge.
